Your Gastric Sleeve Journey

First day – Welcome to Turkey

On your arrival date we meet you at airport and transfer you to the hotel. Our dedicated team will be informing you about your treatment program in detail.

Day Second – Preoperative Check-up

Today we will meet you at hotel and transfer you to the hospital for your full body check-up program. Laboratory analysis, imaging tests including x-ray and ultrasound studies, consultations (general surgeon, internist, cardiologist, psychiatrist, etc), dietitian examination will be done. If you are fit for this surgery after results, you will be admitted to clinic for surgery.

Day Third – Operation Day

Today the gastric sleeve surgery will be performed by general surgery specialist under general anesthesia and it will take about 50-90 minutes. You will be encouraged to walk 3-4 hours after surgery. Since it is a minimal invasive procedure, the patient after surgery is easily manageable. you will be allowed to drink water few hours after surgery.

Day Fourth – 1st Day after Operation

Today is your first day after surgery. Your doctor will visit you in the room and examine. Fluid diet will be started.Dietitian will be regulating your diet program.

Day Five – 2nd Day after Operation

Today is your second day after surgery and you will be feeling better. Your doctor will visit you in the room and examine. You will be still on a fluid diet.

Day Six – Hospital Discharge

After your routine controls and doctor examination you will be ready to leave hospital. Your medication will be provided. Dietitian will give you a diet program.

Day Seven – Home Sweet Home

You have already started to lose weight and will be progressing more day by day.
Diet Program
Day 2-14 after surgery: Full liquid diet including protein shakes, yogurt, broth, milk, and juice
Week 3-5 after surgery: Soft food diet
5 Week after surgery: Regular food. You can eat small amount of food each time and have meals that are more frequent.
