Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL)

Shape and Volume Planned in Balance With Your Body
A Brazilian Butt Lift, also called BBL, uses your own fat to enhance the shape and volume of the buttocks. Liposuction collects fat from suitable donor areas, and selected fat is transferred to the buttocks. The aim is a proportionate change based on your anatomy, rather than a fixed volume or a particular photograph.
At Estexper, planning begins with a surgical assessment of your health, donor fat, skin and goals. Your surgeon explains what may be achievable and the specific risks of gluteal fat transfer. The proposed programme follows the combined-procedure arrangement: one or two hospital nights and five nights at the hotel, confirmed in your individual plan.
Brazilian Butt Lift Before & After
Body proportions, donor fat and surgical plans differ between patients. These examples show individual outcomes rather than a result that can be reproduced identically for everyone.

The Donor Areas and Buttocks Are Planned Together
BBL combines fat harvesting with buttock augmentation. The surgeon assesses how the proposed change relates to your overall contour and whether there is suitable donor fat. Increasing volume alone is not the only consideration, and surgery should stay within an appropriate clinical plan.
Buttock Volume Transferred fat can add volume where suitable. The amount that can be harvested and transferred depends on anatomy and clinical limits. | Shape & Proportion Your surgeon discusses the contour you would like to change in relation to your hips, waist and existing buttock shape. Exact symmetry cannot be guaranteed. | Donor-Area Contouring Liposuction can change the contour of agreed donor areas. The regions treated should be named in your plan rather than assumed to include every possible area. |
Share recent photographs and relevant medical information for an initial assessment. Ask about suitable donor areas, realistic changes and the safeguards proposed for your procedure before booking.
Suitability and Technique Come Before Volume
Your surgeon assesses donor fat, skin quality, buttock anatomy and the complete medical picture. If the proposed change cannot be achieved appropriately, the recommendation may be a different treatment or no surgery. The operation, recovery requirements and risks should be discussed together.
Medical Review Your health conditions, medicines, nicotine use, previous surgery and history of blood clots are reviewed. Share anything that may affect anaesthesia or healing. | Donor Fat Assessment Suitable donor areas and available fat are assessed individually. A fixed number of liposuction regions or a promised transfer volume is not appropriate for every patient. |
Fat-Transfer Safety Specialist guidance supports placing fat in the subcutaneous layer above the gluteal fascia and using real-time ultrasound during injection. Ask your surgeon to explain the planned technique, monitoring and complication arrangements. | International Coordination Consultation, transfers, accommodation and follow-up are coordinated around your surgical plan. Confirm the proposed one or two hospital nights and five hotel nights before booking. |

Before-and-after photographs help illustrate different changes, but your result depends on your starting proportions, donor fat, technique and healing. Ask about the procedure used in an example and the limits of applying that result to your own body.
From Arrival in Istanbul to Your First Follow-Up
Your BBL Programme
Some transferred fat may be absorbed, and swelling can obscure the early shape. Your contour develops as healing progresses. The first postoperative photographs are not a guarantee of the volume or appearance that will remain.

Sitting, Sleeping and Travel Need Their Own Plan
Avoid prolonged direct pressure on the buttocks during the period advised by your surgeon. Ask for specific guidance on necessary sitting, cushions and sleeping positions. When procedures are combined, positions must protect all treated areas; do not assume that one general recovery instruction suits everyone.
Follow the instructions for walking, garments, dressings and appointments. A cushion does not establish that you are ready for a flight. Recovery continues after the hotel stay, and your surgeon assesses travel readiness individually. Breathing difficulty, chest pain or collapse requires emergency care.
Allow Healing Before Assessing Your Result
Not all transferred fat survives. The amount retained varies, and the eventual shape can change with weight fluctuations and ageing. A fixed percentage of fat retention or guaranteed size should not be promised.
Attend follow-up appointments and maintain a stable weight where possible. Discuss persistent asymmetry or contour concerns with your surgeon once recovery has progressed.
Benefits, Fat-Transfer Risks and Aftercare Belong in One Discussion
BBL risks include infection, bleeding, fluid accumulation, contour irregularities, fat necrosis, altered sensation and the need for revision. Anaesthetic complications and blood clots are possible. Fat entering the circulation can cause a potentially fatal fat embolism. Discuss your individual risks and emergency-care arrangements before consent.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Brazilian Butt Lift?
BBL enhances buttock shape or volume using fat collected by liposuction from suitable donor areas. It differs from buttock implants and surgical removal of loose skin.
How much fat can be transferred?
There is no fixed volume suitable for everyone. Available donor fat, anatomy and the surgeon’s clinical judgement determine the plan. A larger transfer is not automatically a better choice.
Which liposuction areas are included?
The donor areas are selected after assessment and should be listed in your written quotation. Do not assume that all regions or additional contouring procedures are included.
When can I sit, sleep normally and fly?
Follow your surgeon’s individual pressure and positioning instructions. Travel also requires assessment of healing, mobility and complications. The planned hospital and hotel stay does not guarantee clearance for a flight.
Is BBL risk-free with modern techniques?
No. Serious complications, including fatal fat embolism, remain possible. Discuss subcutaneous fat placement, ultrasound guidance, surgeon qualifications and arrangements for postoperative complications.
How long will I stay in hospital and at the hotel?
The proposed programme follows the combined-procedure arrangement of one or two hospital nights and five hotel nights. The final itinerary is confirmed for your operation and may change with your recovery.
How can I find out whether BBL is suitable for me?
Complete the assessment form and provide recent photographs and relevant medical information. Final suitability, donor areas and the surgical recommendation are confirmed after clinical assessment.
Send recent photographs and relevant medical information to our team. We can review your enquiry and guide you through the next steps before you travel to Istanbul.
